What stays on your device
Acorn Run keeps a best distance in your browser’s local storage under the key saloli-acorn-run. That number never leaves the browser. Clearing site data deletes it. The site does not run a public leaderboard and does not ask you to sign in to play.
Other services
- Weather readings come from Open-Meteo for named Alabama cities. The request is for a forecast, not for your name.
- The painter sends a fixed set of choices (animal, outfit, setting) to an image service and shows the picture back. There is no free-text box, and the site does not keep an account of what you painted.
- Marker, verse, recipe, and baseball pages are content we publish. They are not a profile of the reader.
- Photos chosen from a phone or computer on the nest-keeper desk are shrunk, then stored with that marker, gallery, recipe, merch, or baseball row so the public page can show them. A pasted picture link is stored as the link only.
What we do not do
This site does not sell personal information. It does not ask for a mailing list. It does not take payment for brittle, candy, or merch — print goods, if you buy them, are checked out on TeePublic.
